For 30 years the Gay & Lesbian Community Center of Baltimore has touched the lives of many individuals through equality advocacy, social events, benefits, support groups, and health forums. The GLCCB furthers its impact by collaborating with community organizations that address a variety of health, recovery, mental health, legal, political, and social issues.
- More than 500 people come to the GLCCB every month for groups and classes – thus, the GLCCB serves over 6,000 people every year at its Chase Street location.
- The GLCCB provides 1,200 hours of low-cost or free meeting space to community groups every year.
- The GLCCB provides more than 2,000 callers every year with information and referrals to gay-friendly businesses, activities, attorneys, medical professionals, counselors, and support services.
- Gay Life – Maryland’s leading LGBT newspaper – has a readership of nearly 40,000, reaching readers in Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and Harrisburg, Penn., and Wilmington, Del.
